Lifegaurding class is next week, if I get a job doing that I'm bout to have paaaaaper. I need to do something creative though mostly. Hopefully ill have an epiphany soon.

"Funeral Customs: Their origin and Development"

Every culture has customs that vary from addiction to cigarettes to eating chicken fetus(shout out). In this piece Burtram explores the sin eater tradition. He is educating the reader of this tradition that is different and will be out of many peoples comfort zone. The way the piece is written included a imagery, "...been known to slaughter an animal on a grave, in the belief that it would take upon the sins of the dead" (69). As far as graves go, whenever I am in a cemetery I am careful to not tread on graves as a sign of respect, or at least that is what I was told to do, and when I hear or read the word I immediately think of respect and peacefulness. A grave is a sacred place for many people I know and the image of a animal being slaughtered seems gross and savage and completly wierd for me to read slaughter and grave in the same sentence.

food dream response

My brother comes in on a Saturday morning after a not so sleepy sleepover that I had with my best friend, Ciara.
"Ariana! Arianaaaa!!!" He yelled."wake up now! You didn't put the frozen burritos back in the refrigerator last night! And they are all thawed out!"
He woke up the beast.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!?! JUST GO PUT THEM BACK IN THE FREEZER! HOW CAN YOU AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME IT WAS ME?? IT'S FRICKIN TEN IN THE MORNING! OH MY GOD."
...I am really not a morning person. Besides, he did wake me up from a very good dream. And when I have really good dreams they usually involve some chow and my partner in crime, though you wouldn't know it by looking at her, Auda Hill food eater extraordinare.
In the dream Auda and I were to hang out and go to our favorite restaurant in Magnolia, El Ranchon. I must of been thinking things had become unattainable because we had to um beat the bad guys. I know it sounds very cops and robbers-y, but I think I have the subconscious mind of a five year old. We desperately tried to attain our favorite dishes but all of a sudden, reality knocked to tell me the frozen burritos weren't in the fridge.
I don't know what I was more mad at, thawed burrito boy or how I couldn't even have it my way in my own dream.

Car, Licence, Job. Things change.

SO.
I have my licence, and the picture aint half-bad. My first time deriving alone was pretty epic and I felt super independent. And cute(I was in a red bug convertible.) Driving by yourself opens up a whole new world of options and places you can get to on your own and quickly. My car is so nice to drive and I love it. I hope my parents pass it down on to me. By the time summer is here I will be able to drive friends around. :)
Having a job is so nice, I love my co workers they are so rad. Also all the money I'm making is way better then the income I had before, $0.00.
